Canfield
Family Circus Products is proud to offer accurate computer generated Circus
Tent Plans. The plans are available in a number of standard configurations or
may be customized to your scale and detailed specifications. The tents are easy
to make and good looking.
The plans include three full sized patterns similar to those shown below on the reduced copy. The first plan is a canvas sewing pattern which may be traced directly onto your material for sewing and cutting. In most cases a complete tent can be made on one piece of material. The second plan is a ground layout pattern showing the location of stakes and poles on the ground. It may be laid directly on your lot for driving stakes and drilling or marking locations for the poles. The third plan is a vertical cross section showing the approximate pole heights and locations.
The instructions included with the plans explain how to sew the tent, make the poles, and set it up. They guide you through the tracing of the pattern, machine sewing the canvas, cutting and painting the poles, attaching ropes to the canvas, and setting up the tent.
Materials and supplies required are: unbleached muslin for canvas; sewing machine with colorful thread; optional baby rickrack for eaves; white glue; dowels for tent poles; small pins for pole tops; small brands for stakes; and carpet thread or fishing line for ropes. These materials are easily available from local hobby and sewing dealers or we can supply your missing items. You may substitute any of your favorite materials for any of our recommendations.
